casting considerations and choices

   Me and my group's casting considerations and are very similar... Me and my group members all decided since we have enough members in the group, we all will also be the actors. Only two members in the group will be on the screen at a time, so that two of us will be able to be behind screen helping produce film.  


    We also decided to have people audition for the gig and we will choose two people to help behind camera and on set. So, if we need a hand or extras or any of the above, they can help. So far me and my groups film process has been fun, but a little difficult... But we made it work and made it through. Our project will soon come to an end, but we are near finally being able to show other people our brilliant ideas that we work extremely hard together to form as a team.  
 

     I really enjoy my cast and team mates just because of the fact it is fun, but we are also getting work done while enjoying ourselves and other presence. And due to the fact all of my teammates are very determined and push through the obstacles with me, so it isn’t hard to get back up when the project starts to get a little hard.

Research and Planning ..

     I've been doing a lot of thinking and researching. And I feel as if my best genre choice for the type of film I have in mind would be a documentary. But you can never be too sure, so I'm still debating on my final decision. It may take a while, possibly a couple days to come to a final decision.. But the second I figure out which genre I'm doing for sure, I'm getting straight to work.     I watched a few short films slightly similar to my idea, because there was not really any examples on the idea I have for my film.. Due to the fact it's kind of a new topic to the community and creative. In all honesty, I truly love my idea but I'm not really sure I'll be able to pull it off due to my environment and not having the proper tools or for say equipment.. What did you learn about using production technologies (cameras, lights, etc.)?

    W hat I learned about using production technologies is that it isn't simple, but learning how to use the technologies also wasn't extremely hard. Me and my group members found out how to properly use the equipment within 10 minutes max... It was obviously the most basic levels of knowledge since we wouldn't be need the equipment long term.     The technology we used was our phones, which we already knew how to use. A Kodak camera which we had to read about a little to understand how to operate. A portable studio microphone that my group members older sister showed us how to use, which was connected to the computer which made it 10x more easier to understand. Then sometimes we used lighting but mainly natural lighting majority of the time.     What I learned about the camera is that it was different from other cameras, it started recording differently the other cameras.
